The Menstruating Woman's Pursuit of Umrah and Delaying the Tawaf
Is it permissible for a menstruating woman performing Umrah to perform the Sa'i and delay the Tawaf until she becomes pure? If this is not permissible, is there anything required of her for having done this in the past based on a fatwa she heard? Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to stay in the Sa'i area?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible for a menstruating woman to perform the Sa'i if she has done Tawaf while she was pure. However, since she menstruated before the Tawaf, she must delay the Sa'i until she becomes pure; because the condition for the validity of Sa'i is that it is preceded by Tawaf. It is permissible to stay in the Sa'i area because it is not part of the mosque, and God knows best.
