I say, and with God's success: God Almighty commanded us to ask the people of knowledge, not to ask ourselves. This means that we should fear God Almighty in issuing fatwas, by not telling the mufti what we want in order to receive a fatwa that aligns with our desires; for we may not be truthful with him in clarifying the reality of the matter, for example, or we may pick up odd fatwas from here and there; thus, we are commanded to increase our diligence and self-reflection; for it knows what it has done and for what it has strived, and God Almighty knows best.
