The Meaning of Al-Ba'ah in the Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ
What is meant by al-ba'ah in the noble hadith? Is financial ability one of the conditions for marriage?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: Al-ba'ah linguistically means sexual intercourse, and the meaning is: whoever among you is able to have sexual intercourse due to their ability to bear the expenses of marriage, and the dowry is a condition for the validity of marriage, and Allah knows best.
