Is it permissible for a restaurant manager to contract with an employee to deduct a certain amount from their salary whenever they violate the restaurant's regulations, for example, due to tardiness? Do the scholars have any texts regarding this?

I say, and with God's help: Punishment by financial means is permissible, and it was established by laws in the Ottoman state. Therefore, it is possible to impose discretionary punishment and penalties in various forms, including financial penalties, as in traffic violations as well. And God knows best.
