The Manager's Acceptance of a Gift from a Client
I am a manager at a company and I received a gift from another company, which is a client of the company I work for, on the occasion of the New Year. The gift consists of sweets, a chess set, and stationery. Is it permissible to accept it or should I leave it at the company?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is left to the company because you obtained it due to being the manager of this company unless the owner permits you to take it, and God knows best.
