The Intersection of More Than One Couple
A woman married four times, and each time her husband dies without her observing the waiting period. Should she observe one waiting period for all four husbands, or does she need a separate waiting period for each one?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The waiting period begins immediately after the husband's death. If the woman adheres to it, she will be rewarded; if she does not follow its rules, she is sinful. Thus, the waiting period can only be from one husband. And God knows best.
