The Increase in Voluntary Fasting to Clear One's Obligation
A lady fasts many voluntary fasts, and she is not certain whether she has any missed fasts to make up. What should she do? Should she intend her voluntary fasts as making up for missed fasts, or should she just intend them as voluntary?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If she thinks there is a debt upon her, she must estimate it and fast it, until her obligation is fulfilled, and she must prioritize it over the voluntary fasts. And God knows best.
