The Imamate of the One Indicating with the Standing
Is it permissible for the imam to pray while sitting on a chair due to an injury in his leg, and there is no one else to take his place who can read well?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible if he is able to bow and prostrate on the ground, but if he is limited to the chair, he cannot lead others in prayer; because his prayer is due to necessity, and it is weak in this state, and God knows best.
