The Imamate of a Boy
What is the ruling on a boy leading the Taraweeh prayers? And what is the ruling on a boy leading prayers at the beginning of his maturity?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible for a child to lead the prayer in Taraweeh or others, except for what some have excluded regarding the permissibility of a memorizer of the Quran if he is young. As for after reaching puberty, it is permissible for him to lead, and God knows best.
