The Imam Forgets a Takbir in the Funeral Prayer
If the Imam forgets one of the Takbirs in the funeral prayer, but he recited all the supplications and buried the deceased, does the funeral prayer become invalid because of this forgetfulness? And should the man repeat the funeral prayer at the grave of the deceased?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If the Imam forgets and remembers after the prayer before speaking, he should perform it. If he speaks, he must repeat the prayer, and the prayer is not valid if he does not perform four takbirs; however, considering his remembrance and not informing the people until after a while, such a case is not considered. And God knows best.
