The Imam's Prayer of Isha at Its Time After Combining with Maghrib
What is the ruling on my Isha prayer behind an Imam who prayed Maghrib and Isha combined due to rain, then the same Imam came and prayed Isha with the people at its time?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The prayer in the case of the imam will be a supererogatory prayer, and it is not permissible to follow someone who is performing a supererogatory prayer, and God knows best.
