The Husband Drinking His Wife's Milk

Question
A woman had a husband who was severely ill, and they could not find a cure for his ailment. Later, the wife asked an old woman if she knew of any folk remedy for this disease. The old woman told her: 'The only thing for you is the milk of a woman mixed with a certain herb.' Out of concern for her husband, the wife did what the old woman said. Since the wife was breastfeeding, she followed the old woman's advice for about a month until her husband recovered and healed. When he learned of what his wife had done, he divorced her, thinking that she had become forbidden to him. What is the ruling on him drinking his wife's milk, and has she become forbidden to him?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to drink from a woman's milk out of necessity for treatment, and the husband is not prohibited from his wife by drinking the milk; because the prohibition is related to the infant who has not yet reached two years of age. The husband must return his wife after divorce and thank her for her actions for his benefit and healing. And God knows best.
