Question
If there are disagreements between the husband and wife, and both have tried to reconcile without results, and the husband continues to boycott the wife at home, is it permissible to continue the marital life, or should one seek divorce to avoid sin that angers Allah Almighty? Knowing that if the reconciliation is on the wife's part and the husband refuses, and she has no objection to staying with the children while seeking reward from Allah, is this correct?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If she is able to take care of her children and considers that a deed for the sake of God Almighty, this is a great good, and she will be rewarded for it. Nevertheless, she should look for the cause of the problem, improve her treatment of her husband, and do her best to overlook what she can. Perhaps God will make things easier for her and relieve her distress. And God knows best.
