Answer
I say, and with God's success: There are four types: Quran, Tamattu, Ifraad with Hajj, and Ifraad with Umrah. The details are as follows: First: Quran: This is to combine the two rituals together or with the Ihram of Umrah, then perform Hajj without any interruption between them. This is the best form of Ihram, and it is prescribed for those from afar. There are ways to do this: to enter into the Ihram of Hajj and Umrah together, or to enter the Ihram of Hajj on the Ihram of Umrah before performing four rounds of Tawaf for Umrah, or to enter the Ihram of Umrah on the Ihram of Hajj before starting the Tawaf of arrival with one round. In this case, he would be a sinful Qarin. Or after performing the Tawaf of arrival, even if it is just one round, he would also be sinful, but this is more sinful than the first case. Second: Tamattu: This is to perform Hajj after completing Umrah, provided that the Umrah takes place in the months of Hajj. This is the second best form of Ihram and is prescribed for those from afar; as stated in the Almighty's words: {This is for those whose family is not present at the Sacred Mosque} (Al-Baqarah: 196). Third: Ifraad with Hajj, which means to dedicate the Ihram solely for Hajj. This is the third best form of Ihram and is prescribed in general for both those from afar and those from Mecca. Fourth: Ifraad with Umrah, which is the fourth best form of Ihram and is also prescribed in general. It has two cases: to dedicate the Ihram for Umrah before the months of Hajj, and not to perform most of its Tawaf rounds in the months, making him an individual for Umrah, or to dedicate the Ihram for Umrah in the months of Hajj or before them, and most of its Tawaf rounds take place in the months of Hajj. It has two aspects: he is considered an individual for Umrah if he does not perform Hajj that year, or if he performs Hajj and has a valid marital relationship between Umrah and Hajj. He is considered a Mutamatti if he does not have a marital relationship between Umrah and Hajj, or if he has an invalid marital relationship. His Tamattu is recommended if he acknowledges the invalidity in his Umrah or Hajj, otherwise, if he does not acknowledge it in either or both, and he invalidates his Umrah, he is an individual for Hajj, and if he invalidates his Hajj, he is an individual for Umrah. And God knows best.
