The Excretions of the Prophet, peace be upon him

Question
What is the ruling on the excretions of the Prophet, peace be upon him? Are they impure or pure? And if we say they are pure, what is the ruling on cleaning oneself after him, peace be upon him?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Al-Kashmari said in Fayd al-Bari 2: 3: (That the purity of the Prophet's صلى الله عليه وسلّم excretions is found in the books of the four schools of thought, then I do not know if it is transmitted from the imams or not? However, Al-Qastalani transmitted its purity from Abu Hanifa through Al-Ayni, and I did not find it in him. Due to the obscurity of that issue, Al-Bukhari did not clarify it in his book, and he treated it equally with the excretions of other people regarding purity and impurity. He did the same with used water, and the narration of its impurity was weakened by the Imam both in understanding and narration, due to its denial by the scholars of Iraq, even though they are more established), and God knows best.
