Does the excessive swallowing of phlegm by mistake break the fast, whether during Ramadan or otherwise?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Spitting does not break the fast, neither in obligatory nor in voluntary fasting; because it is not from outside the mouth, and God knows best.
