The Duration of Iddah and Mourning of the Widow
How long should a widow observe the iddah? Is the calculation based on lunar months or Gregorian months? Is it permissible for her to travel from one governorate to another to visit her parents and take her mother-in-law to the doctor?

I say, and with God's success: She stays for four months and ten days and counts the lunar months, and she is not permitted to go out except for necessity, and what you mentioned is not one of them, and God knows best.
