Question
When I go to the Fajr prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque, do I need to be accompanied by a Mahram, knowing that the bus travels at two o'clock at night to reach Al-Aqsa Mosque?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If the distance is a travel distance, meaning it exceeds eighty kilometers, then a mahram is required. However, if the route is safe and there is no temptation in that, one can benefit from the opinion of others regarding the permissibility of traveling after verification and the presence of need. And God knows best.
