I say, and with God's success: Touching with the sleeve is strongly disliked because it is akin to touching with the hand; thus, touching with it is like touching with one's hand. This is what was confirmed in Al-Hidayah, and it was followed in Al-Waqayah, p. 126, and others. In Dhakhr Al-Mutahhilin, p. 144: Even if it is in his sleeve, it is permissible as stated in Al-Muhit. It was said in Al-Bahr: This is contrary to what is in Al-Muhit, so it is more appropriate. Refer to Manhal Al-Waridin, p. 144, and others, and God knows best.
