The Difficulty of Turning Towards the Qibla for the Disabled
An elderly man is bedridden and finds it difficult to turn towards the Qibla for each prayer. Is his prayer valid in avoiding this difficulty?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If he is unable to face the Qibla himself, his prayer is valid without facing it; because obligation is based on ability, and God knows best.
