Question
It is mentioned in the book 'Nihayat al-Mirad bi Sharh Tadhkirat Ibn al-Imad': 'The Prayer of Need consists of four rak'ahs after the 'Isha prayer with one tasleem. In the first rak'ah, after Al-Fatiha, recite Ayat al-Kursi three times, and in the second rak'ah, after Al-Fatiha, recite Surah Al-Ikhlas and the two Mu'awwidhat. After the second rak'ah, sit for the middle Tashahhud without tasleem, then stand for the third rak'ah and do the same as in the first rak'ah after Al-Fatiha.' I am confused whether we recite in the third and fourth rak'ahs like the second, or do as we did in the first and second? That is, do we recite in the third and fourth after Al-Fatiha with Surah Al-Ikhlas and the two Mu'awwidhat, or do we recite in the third with Ayat al-Kursi three times and in the fourth with Surah Al-Ikhlas and the two Mu'awwidhat? Knowing that this prayer is well-known among the Hanafi school, which states that we prayed it and our needs were fulfilled?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: What is mentioned is neither established nor stated in the recognized books of the school, so you have the choice to do it or something else, and God knows best.
