The Deferred and Immediate Dowry After Her Death
My wife passed away and did not receive her deferred and immediate dowry from me. Does it fall from my responsibility or does it remain a debt in my name, or is it considered an inheritance for her children and family?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Her dowry shall be fully deferred and immediate, a debt upon you to be fulfilled; to be divided among her heirs, and you have from it the share of the husband, which is one-fourth, and God knows best.
