The Declaration of Likeness to a Foreign Woman
I proposed to a woman and recited the opening chapter (of the Quran) and I had told her: You are forbidden to me like my mother and sister. I want to write the marriage contract, what should I do?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If you mean the oath, then it is an oath, and you owe a expiation for the oath. If you did not mean the oath, then it is void; because it is forbidden for you unless you have contracted the contract, and God knows best.
