The Death of the Excused Before Completing the Fast
A person broke their fast one day during Ramadan due to illness and has now passed away. What is required of them, a compensation or fasting?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The expiation is to pay a ransom which is the equivalent of two dinars for the day if he is able to fast and has not fasted after Ramadan, and God knows best.
