Question
A lady passed away and has a daughter and parents; only her parents inherited her. In another case, a man passed away and everyone inherited him, including his parents, brothers, and sisters. She says that although she knows that the daughter is not excluded, how is it that in the first case only the parents inherited, while in the second case everyone inherited?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: In the first case, the daughter should inherit half, and the rest goes to the parents unless the daughter is non-Muslim, for example. In the second case, the siblings do not inherit with the father; because he excludes them, and God knows best.
