I say, and with God's success: It is a condition for the obligation of zakat that the animals be grazing; and the grazing animals are those that rely on grazing or graze for most of the year, and the intended ones are those that are grazed for milk and offspring. If they are grazed for carrying and riding, there is no zakat on them. If they are fed for the entire year or half of the year, they are not considered grazing, and God knows best.
