Question
Is it permissible for a man to deposit an amount of (2000) dinars with a shop and the shop owner says to him: You can take from its profits periodically and the two thousand remain fixed, so whenever you want it, you can take it back in full?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: This is speculation, which means that you pay an amount of money to someone for trading, and the profit is shared between them as agreed, and the same applies to losses. If this is realized, it is permissible, and God knows best.
