The Bleeding Lasting More Than Forty Days for the Postpartum Woman:
Is the postpartum period forty days or sixty days, and do I have to make up for what comes after the forty days?
Answer
The postpartum period is mostly forty days; if it continues and exceeds forty days, the excess is considered as irregular bleeding that does not prevent prayer. If you did not pray during these days, you must make up the missed prayers, and Allah knows best.
