The Authorization for Slaughtering the Aqiqah
I want to perform an Aqiqah for my son and I went to the butcher because I don't have a place for slaughtering. The butcher said: I will sell you an Aqiqah that I will slaughter for you at the farm at night, and you can come to pick it up in the morning from the butcher shop, and the payment will be based on the net weight of the meat by the kilo, not the weight of the sheep standing before slaughter. Is the Aqiqah valid this way?

I say, and with God's help: The 'Aqiqah' is valid in this way; because it achieves the closeness to God Almighty, and He is your agent in the slaughtering. Calculating the price by weighing the meat is a method of presenting the price; if it does not lead to disputes, it is permissible. And God knows best.
