The Appearance of Photographing a Woman's Hand and Its Publication
Regarding a previous fatwa concerning the ruling on photographing a woman's hand, does it refer to the palm or the entire hand, and is it permissible to photograph the palm? What about the hadith of the Prophet (: 'When a woman reaches ...'?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: Photographing the face and hand, even if it is not considered 'awrah, is not permissible except for a necessity; due to the sanctity of women and to avoid temptation. And God knows best.
