I say, and with God's help: If his illness is persistent and he is unable to fast in the future, then he has a permanent incapacity. Such a person should provide a meal for a poor person for each day, which is at the rate of two dinars, and it should be given to a needy person. It is permissible to pay the compensation at the beginning of Ramadan once for the entire month or at the end of it, and God knows best.
