Tayammum Instead of Wudu Due to Cold

Question
What is the ruling for a sick person who cannot perform wudu with cold water because they experience shivering and stiffness in the body from the cold water? Should they heat the water for wudu?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible to perform tayammum when water is available unless one would be harmed or become ill from using water. In such a case, one should heat the water if cold water would cause harm, rather than performing tayammum. And God knows best.
