Tattoos and Their Effect on Ablution and Ghusl
My son got a permanent tattoo during his adolescence, and he did not know what is permissible or forbidden. Now he is married, and Allah has guided him to prayer. Is his prayer valid, and is it permissible for him to perform ghusl from janabah?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The prayer is valid with the tattoo, and it is valid to perform the ritual washing from impurity with the tattoo, but there is a sin for having placed the tattoo when he did, and God knows best.
