Question
My daughter got married two and a half years ago. Throughout this period, her life has been full of problems, and now she has decided to separate. She took her clothes and personal belongings. Is she entitled to take the gifts that her husband gave her during the time she lived with him? Is she entitled to take anything from the household items that she and her husband bought together? Knowing that the 'Eidiyah' (money received on Eid from her father, uncles, and relatives) was used to buy household items or kitchen tools, is it permissible for her to take some of these items?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible for her to take the things that were gifted to her, and the things that she bought with her money, and God knows best.
