Question
A man has a debt owed to him by someone who has not paid him despite his demands for his right, and he has money belonging to this person. Is he entitled to take from this money, or would he be sinning by doing so?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: His hand on this money is a hand of trust, so he has no right to dispose of it, except if it becomes difficult to collect the debt, in which case he may pay from the deposit, and God knows best.
