Question
My husband is married to two women, one lives in an apartment in his father's house, and the other has rented accommodation. I have three children, and he has a transport vehicle that he uses to carry things when someone requests it, and he can stay at home for a period without work. Is it permissible to take something from charity, like clothes for the children?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible for you to take charity as long as you are poor and do not possess the nisab of zakat, which is (100) grams of gold, and God knows best.
