Taking Charitable Donations Given to Others
There was a poor family living in a house in the neighborhood, and they moved out. Another poor family moved in their place, and the neighborhood residents were unaware of the first family's move and continue to place donations in front of the house. Is it permissible for the new family to take these donations knowing that they are in need of assistance?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to take assistance initially while directly striving to inform everyone that they are in need, and God knows best.
