Question
A person works as a representative for one of the local daily newspapers. Another person asked him to publish a commercial advertisement in the newspaper he represents. The representative told that man: The advertisement costs you one thousand dinars. When he asked the person in charge to publish the advertisement, the person in charge told him that the cost is one thousand dinars. The representative then asked the person in charge: And what is my commission? The person in charge replied: I will give you twenty percent of the value of the advertisement. Answer
I say, and with God's help: If his work is marketing, and he takes a commission for that, it is permissible, and God knows best.
