Students' Subscription for a Sacrifice
A school collected an amount of money from its students to buy a sacrifice and slaughter it on behalf of all the students with the intention of creating a student of knowledge whom Allah loves. Is this action permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The sacrifice is not valid on behalf of a group, but it is permissible on behalf of one person, and it serves as an educational act for the students to slaughter it for the sake of Allah, and it is distributed to the poor, and its reward is for them. And Allah knows best.
