Question
I have been a widow for three and a half months, and I go to my mother-in-law's house to visit her and stay with her every Friday, knowing that I lived in this house at the beginning of my marriage for more than fifteen years. Is there any sin in this action?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Your visit to your mother-in-law is a connection of kinship, and you will be rewarded for that. If staying overnight at their house is not a temptation, it is permissible. However, you should not leave your home during the waiting period for any other house unless it is a necessity, and these visits do not constitute a necessity. And God knows best.
