Spending from the Profits of the Islamic Bank
I deposited an amount in the Jordanian Islamic Bank, and I want to spend the profits from this amount on my household. Is this permissible, and is there Zakat due on the amount? Note that the amount was inherited from my father, and I do not have a second income.
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The profits from the bank are permissible, and you may spend them as you wish, and if your wealth exceeds the threshold for zakat, which is the value of (100) grams of gold, it must be paid as zakat, and God knows best.
