Slaughtering with the Intention of Averting Illness from Children and Grandchildren
Is it permissible to offer a single sacrifice for our children and grandchildren, with the intention for all of them? The sacrifice is not an 'aqiqah but is slaughtered for the sake of Allah due to illness; as a thank you to Allah the Almighty?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: By "fadu" I meant the sacrifice for the sake of Allah, the Exalted, which serves as a charity to Him for lifting the affliction from us. It is a recognized act of devotion, and it is permissible for a single calamity and affliction for one person, and it is permissible for more than that; all of it is good, and Allah knows best.
