Question
I bought a sacrifice and I want to slaughter it for a suspended vow. Is that permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If you are wealthy and possess the minimum threshold for zakat, you must sacrifice an animal during the holiday. If you are not wealthy, it is permissible to sacrifice what you have purchased for a vow that is obligatory upon you, but the sacrifice cannot be both a holiday sacrifice and a vow at the same time, as it is not valid to combine them. And God knows best.
