Slaughtering the Aqiqah Outside the Country
Is it permissible for my husband to perform the Aqiqah outside the country, for example, by sending money to a poor country like South Africa to perform my son's Aqiqah, or should he distribute it among his family?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The aqeeqah is a means of drawing closer to Allah, and it is permissible to slaughter it in his country or any other country. He is rewarded for assisting Muslims with it everywhere, and Allah knows best.
