Question
Is there a Sunnah that states that on the first Eid that passes for the family of the deceased, a sacrifice should be slaughtered for him? My brothers want to sacrifice a she-camel for themselves, and at the same time a sacrifice for our father. Is this action correct?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is recommended to increase supplication, recitation of the Quran, and giving charity on behalf of the deceased, and sacrificing on their behalf is a type of charity, which is beloved at all times, including on the day of Eid. Therefore, the actions of your brothers are good because they are a form of charity and a gift of reward to the deceased, and God knows best.
