Sitting in the Third Rak'ah Other Than Maghrib
Is this statement correct in our Hanafi school: (It is not permissible to recite the Tashahhud after the third rak'ah except in the Maghrib prayer only.. Sitting for the Tashahhud in the third rak'ah outside of the Maghrib prayer invalidates the prayer)?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not correct. The presence of the condition of the Tashahhud in the third (rak'ah) is disliked if done intentionally for adding to the prayer that is not part of it, and if done forgetfully, it necessitates the prostration of forgetfulness. And God knows best.
