Sign of the Time for Iftar

Question
Is the time for iftar after fasting at sunset or with the arrival of night, which is the clear darkness, and is it after the call to prayer for Maghrib, as mentioned in the noble verse: {Complete the fast until night}?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: The breaking of the fast after fasting in Ramadan is after sunset. As for the verse: {Complete the fast until the night} [Al-Baqarah: 187]: Here, the word "until" indicates a limit, and a limit does not include the endpoint if the endpoint is of a different kind than the limit. Here, night is of a different kind than day; therefore, night does not enter into day. Thus, fasting is specific to the day from dawn until sunset. And God knows best.
