Sharing Intentions in Acts of Worship
What is the ruling on sharing intentions in prayer and fasting, such as praying the Sunnah of Dhuhr with the intention of the two Rak'ahs of Wudu and the greeting of the mosque, and fasting six days of Shawwal with the intention of the white days and Monday or Thursday?
Answer
It is not permissible to have two intentions in one act of worship; you must have one intention for one act of worship. What we need is sincerity of intention, and Allah knows best.
