Question
What is the ruling on selling necklaces that are worn around the necks of young men and bracelets made of silver? I am the owner of a silver shop and I sell such items to men. Am I committing a sin by doing so? I heard from someone that if it becomes customary that such items are not sold or worn except by young males, then it is permissible. What is the ruling?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If she only wears it from the side of men, and wearing it from the side of a man is disliked to the point of prohibition, it is disliked for you to sell it as well, similar to the case of the mizamiz. However, if it is used in a permissible manner, such as being worn from the side of women, then there is no dislike upon you, and God knows best.
