Selling a Tooth to Someone Who Uses It for Magic
I have a tooth from an ancient animal, and I want to sell it, knowing that the buyer wants to use it for magic. What is the ruling in comparison to selling grapes to a winemaker, which is permissible according to Abu Hanifa?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: Selling in itself is permissible, and the sin falls on the user of the forbidden according to the opinion of Abu Hanifa; due to the involvement of an intentional act by a chooser, and God knows best.
